11 April 2022

Congratulations to all of the graduates from our recent Making Tracks courses held in Adelaide, Darwin, Canberra, Brisbane and Perth.

The Making Tracks Program is an employment pathways program initiated by Wilson Security in 2019 to provide safe and sustainable career opportunities for Indigenous Australians. We recently expanded the program to include any job seeker attached to an Employment Service Provider and under-represented in the workforce.

So far, 55 people have participated in the program in 2022, including in the Perth and Brisbane courses which are still underway. Upon successful completion, participants will be qualified in Security Operations and guaranteed a job if issued a security license. The recent graduates include 32 Indigenous people and 17 women and will form the largest cohort to complete the program.

The Making Tracks curriculum includes a comprehensive non-accredited pre-employment program that prepares participants for a career in the security industry followed by a three-week Certificate II in Security Operations course.

Read on below to see the successful graduates of the most recent program!

Wilson Security has already committed to providing all 10 recruits meaningful employment as soon as they have their credentials in order.

On Monday 21st February 2022, Wilson Security proudly commenced its Making Tracks program in Darwin with 13 amazing participants from a diverse mix of cultural and situational backgrounds – including 8 Indigenous participants.

We look forward to introducing these Indigenous candidates to our business, as we look forward to the next Making Tracks session (currently in negotiation!)

We look forward to celebrating the graduation of our NT Making Tracks participants and working collaboratively to develop individual career pathways that ensures each graduate has gained employment immediately after their successful completion of the course.

Congratulations and well done to all successful graduates of the most recent Making Tracks program, we are looking forward to seeing each of you flourish within the security industry.
