Wilson Security delivers State-of-the-Art CCTV solution at Blundstone Arena in time for hosting the AFL

Wilson Security is pleased to announce the successful commissioning of a cutting-edge Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) system, Security Equipment and Security Control Room at Blundstone Arena, Hobart.

Michael Bagnall, National Business Manager (Technology) at Wilson Security, officially handed over the advanced security solution to Blundstone Arena on 13th May, just in time for the highly anticipated AFL match between North Melbourne and Port Adelaide.

Implementing this state-of-the-art CCTV technology demonstrates Wilson Security's commitment to creating enduring value for our clients with integrated security solutions that deliver service efficiencies or improved security outcomes.

The newly installed CCTV system is designed to enhance the existing security infrastructure and ensure the safety of spectators, players, and staff within the iconic Blundstone Arena, Hobart.

Key features of the CCTV and Security Control Room solution includes:

High-definition Cameras: Wilson Security installed 86 new Avigilon Analytics CCTV cameras at strategic locations in Blundstone Arena. The high-definition camera network is strategically placed throughout the stadium, providing comprehensive coverage of critical areas, including entrances, stands, concourses, and parking lots. These cameras capture crystal-clear footage, enabling effective surveillance and incident response.

Intelligent Video Analytics: The CCTV system has advanced video analytics capabilities, enabling automated monitoring and detection of potential security threats or unusual activities. This intelligent technology enhances situational awareness and allows security personnel to respond to emerging situations proactively.

Integrated Control Room: Blundstone Arena's security personnel will have access to a centralized control room equipped with state-of-the-art monitoring and management tools; this enables real-time monitoring of the CCTV feed, swift incident response, and seamless collaboration with other emergency services.

This integrated security solution designed specifically for our valued client, Cricket Australia, has significantly enhanced the safety and security of Blundstone Arena whilst setting a new benchmark for safety and security in sporting facilities.
