CSR in Action: Wilson Security's CSR Journey Goes From Strength to Strength
We are proud to announce that Wilson Security reached a remarkable milestone in 2023: surpassing $1 million in donations to our national charity partner, the Alannah and Madeline Foundation (AMF), since the inception of our partnership in 2020.
This incredible milestone supports our joint belief that all children and young people should be able to live a happy and safe life, free from violence and trauma.
To date, the relationship has enabled 12,000 vulnerable children to be provided with the comfort of a Buddy Bag, 3,500 early childhood educators trained to better support and educate children through the Trauma Consultancy Service (TraCS), and specialised therapeutic support provided to 35 children through the Children Ahead program.
Nick Frangoulis, CEO of Wilson Security, said: "As we celebrate surpassing the $1 million mark in contributions, it’s important to remember that our true achievement lies in the tangible differences we’re making in the lives of vulnerable children and young people. At Wilson Security, our purpose extends far beyond the boundaries of security services; we are dedicated to creating an environment where children and young people are free from trauma and have the opportunity to thrive with hope and joy.
This milestone in our partnership with the Alannah & Madeline Foundation is a testament to the power of collective action fuelled by compassion and a unified vision for a world where children and young people are safe and supported.
I extend my deepest gratitude to our dedicated Wilson Security employees and every supporter of this cause. This unwavering generosity is the driving force behind the positive change, ensuring that together, we are safeguarding the present and paving the way for a brighter, more secure future for children and young people. This is our commitment and our privilege."
Sarah Davies, CEO of the Alannah & Madeline Foundation, expresses her deepest gratitude: "Surpassing the $1 million milestone is a testament to the incredible generosity and commitment of the leadership team and all staff at Wilson Security.
“We are incredibly proud of what we’ve been able to achieve together. Their support has been instrumental in our efforts to provide safety and support to children affected by trauma. The impact of this partnership has shown thousands of children and young people across the country that someone cares for them, that they matter. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.”
From October to December, a nationwide appreciation tour was conducted by Wilson Security's Beti Dafovski (General Manager Comcare, Welfare and CSR), alongside representatives from the Alannah and Madeline Foundation. They visited numerous state offices to extend heartfelt thanks to our teams for their unwavering support over the years.
These celebratory events, complete with moving speeches from Beti Dafovski and the AMF representatives, were powerful reminders of the vital work done by AMF and the significant difference our contributions make.
In a touching gesture, AMF presented our State Managers with framed collections of heartfelt thank you postcards from children who have benefitted from the Buddy Bags provided through Wilson Security's funding.
Each state office's celebration was a moment to acknowledge and honour the efforts of our staff. The presentations by the AMF representative highlighted the crucial need for their services and the real impact of our support.
The message from AMF was clear: our collective efforts are making a substantial difference in the lives of many children and young people.
We are immensely proud of this partnership and what we have achieved together. It is a shining example of how our combined efforts can create significant, positive change.
