Awards won in 2019
At Wilson Security, we’re proud of the awards we’ve won and the recognition we’ve gained as a result. We treasure these achievements and it stimulates us to work harder and aim higher. Below are a few of those achievements over the past year.
Winners: The Australian security medal of valour – 2019 Australian Security Awards
The Australian Security medal for valour recognises acts of bravery and initiative.
Security Officers Daniel McGrath and Aydin Veli of Wilson Security were awarded the Australian Security Medal of Valour at the 2019 Security Awards, for their swift action in dealing with a person who was seriously self-harming and preventing injury to nurses nearby.
We thank Daniel and Aydin for their quick thinking and going above and beyond in such a difficult situation.
Winners: The Indigenous Employment Award – 2019 Australian Security Awards
Wilson Security is committed to building connections within the communities in which we operate, based on mutual respect and understanding of the culture of our first Australians.
We have focused on improving our company’s capabilities by increasing its Indigenous workforce, increasing the knowledge, appreciation and understanding of the broader Wilson Security team of Indigenous culture and improving our relationships with external Indigenous organisations and communities, creating safe work spaces and sustainable career opportunities
As a result of these initiatives, Wilson Security has been awarded the Indigenous Employment award at the 2019 Australian Security Awards. Congratulations to everyone involved.
