Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)

At the Wilson Group we are building a workforce that is representative of the community we protect. We welcome people from diverse backgrounds and are committed to supporting our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples with employment and career opportunities.

Wilson Group is committed to improving relationships in the communities in which we operate. Our Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy specifically recognises the importance of wellbeing of people and communities, conducting business sustainably and fostering a work environment that supports inclusion, diversity, health and safety.

Our ‘Reconciliation Action Plan’ focuses on improving our internal cultural competency through cultural awareness training, community consultation and employee engagement activities.  Together we are learning about our shared history, building opportunities for the employment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and as a Supply Nation member creating opportunities for increased economic support through the procurement of Indigenous products and services.

Our Security business was invited by the federal government to partner on the Employment Parity Initiative and have committed to hiring 300 Indigenous Australians in the next two years.
During 2019 we will be facilitating training programs throughout Australia aimed at providing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples with an opportunity to complete a fully funded Certificate II in Security Operations.  For further information on this education program contact our HR Manager, Samantha Weir on

We continually work to ensure that all our practices are fully compliant with the applicable HSEQ legislation, regulations' and standards.

We maintain a comprehensive range of policies, plans and procedures to manage the quality of our service and our exposure to a diverse range of OHS and environmental risks. Through a structured approach to induction, training and assessment, we ensure that everyone at Wilson Security is aware of their rights and responsibilities in regard to health, safety, the environment and quality.

Partnership with Eon Protection

Wilson Security formed a partnership with Eon Protection, a Supply Nation Certified 100% owned Aboriginal security services business based in Perth, Western Australia in 2018.

This is the first Aboriginal security partnership of its kind in Australia. Eon Protection is committed to bringing about positive, sustainable social and environmental change.

Eon’s hands-on management team (led by Director, Gerard Matera, a Noongar Traditional Owner) has over 20 years’ experience in security, military and law enforcement. Our partnership with Eon Protection supports the Wilson Group’s Innovate RAP objectives for Aboriginal employment, local community engagement, social impact, and offering training and development opportunities for our Indigenous staff.
