Case Study: Water Corporation – Western Australia

Securing 400+ Sites Across Perth and Regional WA with Multi-Skilled, Insight-Driven Security Teams.
Water Corporation is the principal supplier of water, wastewater, drainage and bulk irrigation services of Western Australia. Water Corporation manages $50 billion (replacement value) of assets to deliver water services across an expanse of 2.6 million square kilometres.
Wilson Security delivers a range of security services for over 400 Water Corporation sites, including depots, water pump stations, and wastewater treatment plants across the Perth metropolitan and regional areas of Western Australia.
Since 2005, we have provided a large team of fully inducted, purposely trained security personnel to support a diverse range of security services, each equipped with our Rapid app for real-time incident reporting, which is fed directly to Wilson Customer Service Managers (CSM’s).
We have implemented an in-house induction program for all personnel at Water Corporation, concentrating on reporting, emergency escalation procedures, understanding critical infrastructure sites and safety.
Contract Evolution: Adapting to Changing Needs, Maximising Value
Our service partnership has expanded to encompass additional specialised responsibilities, including public liaison and crowd control at dams during public holidays, as well as distributing bottled water to the public during emergency water shutoffs.
Our personnel also serve as first responders in cases where lone workers fail to respond to welfare checks, and they play an active role in recovering stolen water meters.
In collaboration with Water Corporation, we have trained and upskilled our Patrol Officers to perform immediate temporary repairs at any site where a security breach is identified. This proactive approach helps quickly restore the physical integrity and public safety of the premises.
As a result, client costs have been reduced, as the need for security officers to remain on-site for extended periods while waiting for a technician has been eliminated.
Scope of Services:

- Lock and unlock services
- Surveillance
