Project Overview

Wilson Security currently provides security services to the Public Transport Authority (PTA) in WA. The PTA’s aim to increase the use of public transport through the provision of customer focused, safe and cost effective passenger transport services and to make public transport an attractive sustainable choice for connecting people and places.

The general service objective of Wilson Security PTA contract staff is to proactively detect and deter antisocial behaviour, including harassment, theft, vandalism, graffiti, drug and substance abuse and loitering.  To assist the PTA in managing these transport services, Wilson Security provides security services on Transperth bus services. We provide more than 75 Officers to undertake a variety of tasks, including:
• Static security services
• Mobile patrol services
• Site patrol visits
• CCTV monitoring and control room services.

Additionally, Wilson Security staff provide general assistance to the public, including calling of taxis and ambulances, assisting with lost and found items, providing general information to passengers and tourists etc.

Security Officers wear uniforms similar to those worn by rail Transit Officers and Revenue Protection Officers. This enables commuters to recognise the security presence across the different media. To support the service, our vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking and SmartTrack reporting which improve emergency response coordination and accountability.
