Supporting Paul Cruickshank Racing (PCR), Wilson Security enhanced it's sponsorship in 2009 becoming the naming rights sponsor for the 2009 V8 Supercars Championship Series. WSR unveiled a two car team with existing driver Fabian Coulthard being joined by Ford Rising Star, Michael Patrizi.
As the teams' primary sponsor, WSR revealed its striking new livery and colour scheme that reflects synergies with our Wilson Security corporate image and ultimately highlighting our new award winning patrol technology, Wilson Security Rapid.
As the Australian premier motor sport category, V8 Supercars has significant international and national coverage in both print and televised media, thus promoting our brand within the market place and with employees.
The 2009 V8 Supercars Championship series sees the implementation of an Ethanol based E85 fuel. The E85 product is a blend of 85% Ethanol and 15% unleaded fuel and produces significantly lower CO2 emissions than petrol alone. Combine the new E85 fuel with a new softer compound tyre and throw in a few changes to qualifying and other rules and you have the recipe for a very interesting season.
Fabian Coulthard and Michael Patrizi are supported by first rate drivers Leanne Tander and David Wall for the endurance rounds at Phillip Island and Bathurst. Fabian joined PCR in 2008 delivering a result of 13th overall; the best result by a single car team in the Championship. In 2009 he returns in the new Wilson Security colours and driving a brand new Triple Eight built FG Falcon sporting the 111 numbering from last season.
Michael joins WSR this year after his debut in the Ford Rising Star's V8 Supercar team. After racing in Europe Michael gained invaluable experience and is well equipped to continue his success with WSR. He will drive WSR's 333 BF Falcon, the same car driven by Fabian to numerous top 10 finishes last year.
Leanne Tander, is Australia's top female racer, she will don the WSR race suit and get behind the wheel for the WSR enduro drives later in the year at Bathurst and Phillip Island. Leanne has a long and successful driving career competing in 2008 in the Australian F3 Championship with a number of podium finishes.
David Wall has been racing since 1999, and has a proven career driving in the Carrera Cup Championship in 2006 and 2007 and continues this year driving a Porsche GT3 in the Australian GT Championship.
Our involvement with V8 Supercars affords us the ability to provide our staff with unique opportunities that are not normally present. Admission to the V8 Supercars Championship Series rounds including team merchandise, 'behind the scenes' pit tours, hot laps and the opportunity to be 'up close and personal' with the drivers are just some of the activities that our employees are offered.
This level of staff recognition supports Wilson Security's goal of being an employer of choice therefore sustaining our maxim for employees in that "your career is our future".

Clients too are presented with exciting opportunities through our sponsorship programme such as corporate hospitality, pit tours, grid walks, interactive pit experiences and interactions with the drivers and team. We support our clients with offering these opportunities as part of their own internal employee recognition programme. Our staff and customer feedback confirms the success of this overall initiative.
Furthermore, we offer support to community and charitable programmes through our involvement with V8 Supercars. Our company ethos in supporting these programmes is supplemented by our involvement with Wilson Security Racing through the provision of team driven activities and prizes.
