Wilson Security opens Darwin office

Wilson Security has opened a new office in Darwin headed by Operations Manager NT, Chris Albury.

Chris brings extensive experience and knowledge of the Australian security industry to Wilson Security; his previous roles include Regional Manager Northern Territory and Security State Operations Manager South Australia with another major security provider.

As part of the company’s bid to expand its presence in the Northern Territory, Wilson Security purchased two local security companies, Security Specialists and Night Watch Security. These acquisitions will help further enhance its operations in the Territory.

"The acquisition of these two companies is a great move for Wilson Security," CEO John McMellan said.

"We have a number of key clients already in the Northern Territory and this growth enables us to focus on service improvement and staff development”, Mr Mellan said.

As part of the purchases the company has employed 30 local Security Officers, who bring local knowledge and experience to enhance the expertise of its management team.  The experience of these two providers includes local government, retail, construction and industrial industries.  Guarding clients include Brierty, McMahon, Palmerston and Karama Shopping Centres and Defence.  With an existing fleet of mobile patrol vehicles, patrol clients include Yilli Housing and Howard Springs Nature Reserve.

Chris will be putting his expertise and skills to work to increase Wilson Security’s presence in the Northern Territory.
