Wilson Security Expands in NSW
Wilson Security has further expanded into the New South Wales market with the acquisition of City Eastern Security in Sydney.
Wilson Security CEO John McMellan said the move was a strategic step that would further strengthen Wilson Security's presence in the New South Wales market.
"The purchase of City Eastern is a great move for Wilson Security," Mr McMellan said.
"The business is an excellent fit for us, and brings with it a number of high-end corporate contracts including the Sydney Harbour Bridge, that complement our growing list.
"It also adds to our number of patrol vehicles and by providing greater coverage geographically, we'll be able to expand into the patrol market in Sydney.
The purchase of City Eastern comes following Wilson Security's acquisition of Shelf Security in Dampier, near Karratha in WA's North West.
"We are pursuing a period of planned strategic growth as demonstrated by the recent purchase of Shelf Security, which was the fourth purchase in Western Australia in the past two years." Mr McMellan said.
"That acquisition allowed us a foothold into the Pilbara via a well established business with an excellent reputation, servicing leading infrastructure clients central to WA's current mining boom."
Mr McMellan said the security landscape had changed vastly in recent years and Wilson Security was at the forefront of that change.
"There is a great demand in the market for providers who offer a strategic and integrated approach to Security, and that is exactly what we are doing. It's no secret that the way in which security services are delivered needs to change, on a number of fronts. Our actions re-affirm our commitment to leading the market in meeting those expectations.
"One of our strengths is identifying strong examples of operational or process initiatives in businesses we acquire.
"We don't approach the integration thinking that we can't learn from a smaller company. We have retained key staff in all our acquisitions and replicated these learnings into our broader business processes.
"The response from the market has been very pleasing, demonstrated by our continued strong growth and expansion."
