Wilson Security expands critical infrastructure portfolio

Wilson Security has expanded its critical infrastructure portfolio by securing the Family Court of Australia contract.

Overseen by a National Contract Manager and local Account Managers in each State and Territory, Wilson Security provides a range of services including:
• Access Control, including screening at designated sites
• Security guarding, including Courtroom Guarding
• Mobile patrols
• Additional services including escort services, special functions and emergencies.

“Being Australia’s Federal court specialising in family law, the Family Court contract, including the Federal Magistrates Court of Australia, enhances our critical infrastructure portfolio and fits well with other clients requiring x-ray screening services, such as the Commonwealth Law Courts”, says National Operations Manager, John Rogers.

“The contract also enhances our national client base and gives us a solid presence in some regional locations”, Mr Rogers continued.

The contract is supported by a rigorous training programme to ensure Wilson Security’s Officers are fully equipped to undertake the required duties.  As an accredited Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Wilson Security can deliver a range of nationally accredited training modules, including Screen Baggage and People PRSS0212A. This training package addresses all screening competencies and has delivered a measurable improvement in screener’s performance.

“We invest heavily in training and have a dedicated Training Systems Manager to deliver in-house packages to our team.  Training packages are tailored to each client to ensure we’re delivering the best value for money solutions”, Mr Rogers concludes.

Wilson Security commenced the contract on 1 September 2009 and delivers services to 13 Family Court sites located in John Maddison Tower, Sydney, Newcastle, Dubbo, Wollongong, Darwin, Alice Springs, Cairns, Townsville, Lismore, Albury, Dandenong and Launceston.
